OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Cambodia Education Fund endorses the idea that education is a child’s right, and is also the key to ending the cycle of poverty. The Cambodia Education Fund supports proficient non-profit schools, individuals with the desire to attend primary, secondary and post-secondary education, educational-oriented orphanages and other educational disciplines. The Cambodia Education Fund fosters learning and academic excellence by working with local educators and school administrators to ensure children receive access to education.
OUR VISION
The Cambodia Education Fund is bringing people together in the name of charity. At every event, we distribute information about Cambodia to increase the discussion of the country’s past and how we can help brighten it’s future. Of course, we also encourage people to donate to our cause monetarily, but just asking for money can get old. The board members are involved in physical challenges and fundraising events every year, which are fun and a huge part of what we do. But we also try to encourage others to get involved by hosting their own events in the hopes of encouraging altruistic ways around the globe.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Everyday children around the world must choose work over school in order to support their families. In Cambodia, it can seem like a clear choice when the average family’s income is $3.00 per day. For many children, work comes before school in Siem Reap, a city full of tourists visiting the famous Angkor Wat.
We were those tourists, and as much as we enjoyed Angkor Wat, it was the children of Siem Reap that truly captivated us. A further look into the country's history and we learned about the violent dictatorship that killed two million people just over 30 years ago. As alarming and tragic as this recent genocide is, Cambodian people remain the most welcoming and compassionate that we have ever encountered.
Right now, Cambodia is growing and has a lot of potential. With an extremely young population, we see education as the most viable means for change. There are many NGO schools and organizations in place ready to educate and support these children and their families.
The Cambodia Education Fund’s primary goal is to support exceptional schools and students in the Siem Reap area while raising awareness about the power of education.
